How to Use This Programme

What you will find here

This programme publishes self-paced training modules progressively, as the corresponding outputs of the BRP-TR project mature. Every module follows the same format:

• A 10–15 minute video lecture, narrated in Turkish and English with subtitles in both languages.
• Content pages treating each topic in depth, with one or more infographics.
• A downloadable PDF summary for offline reading.
• A module quiz (5–10 multiple-choice questions) that unlocks once you have completed all the module's content, with a pass mark of 70% and unlimited attempts.
• A bilingual module certificate, generated automatically when you pass the quiz and also e-mailed to you as a PDF.

Each module takes approximately 30–60 minutes to complete. Modules are independent: you can take them in any order, and your progress is saved automatically.

Planned topics

Alongside the Training of Trainers module, the programme will grow to cover:

1. Introduction to Energy Efficiency — why energy-efficient renovation matters, and the Turkish and international policy context.
2. Building Renovation Passport (BRP) Model — how a BRP works, what it contains, and how it helps plan long-term renovations.
3. Innovative Renovation Techniques — cost-effective solutions for envelopes, HVAC systems, and renewable energy integration.
4. EPCs and Financing Mechanisms — how Energy Performance Contracts and public-sector financing unlock renovation projects.
5. Occupant Behaviour and Energy Savings — how daily practices in public buildings shape energy consumption and comfort.

Each of these appears on this page as its own section, with all materials, as soon as its content is approved and published.

Certificates

1. Create a free user account (link at the top-right of the page) so your progress and certificates can be tracked.
2. Complete a module and pass its quiz with 70% or higher to receive that module's certificate — it unlocks automatically and is also e-mailed to you as a PDF.
3. Every certificate carries a unique verification code that third parties can use to confirm its authenticity.

Accessibility and language

The platform works on desktop, tablet, and mobile. All videos include Turkish and English subtitles. You can switch between Turkish and English at any time using the language selector in the top navigation bar; the video lecture and the summary PDF are presented in the language you select. If you need to adjust text size or contrast, use the accessibility tools available in your browser or the on-page controls.
